ABOUT RYAN CAMPBELL

California Roots. New York Hustle.

I’m Ryan Campbell — a thought leader, executive producer, and creative director with over 20 years of experience building teams and telling stories that resonate across the world’s biggest stages in sports and entertainment. But more than titles, I see myself as a director of people, projects, and resources — someone who thrives on collaboration, mentorship, and creating environments where teams can do their best work.

A Journey in Two Acts

I grew up in Southern California, where surfing, basketball and the arts shaped my love for creativity and competition. For the past 23 years, I’ve called New York and New Jersey home, with two unforgettable years in Rome in between. That blend of California soul and New York spirit has defined both my personal life and my creative style: laid-back yet relentless, grounded yet ambitious.

Family & Passions

I’ve been married to my wife, Alison, for 26 years, and together we’re raising three children — Luca, Evie, and Cody. We’re a soccer-loving family, obsessed with the Premier League, Champions League and the World Cup. Sports, music, and culture run through everything I do. Whether it’s the rhythm of the ocean or the roar of a stadium, I draw inspiration from the energy of life and channel it into my work.

Two Decades at ESPN

In 2002, I joined ESPN as the very first in-house promo producer in the Marketing department. Over the next two decades, I helped grow an internal creative agency and led a team of 24 writers, producers, and editors. Together, we developed authentic, story-driven campaigns for:

  • NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB & NHL

  • Wimbledon & US Open Tennis

  • The Masters & PGA Championship Golf

  • College Football & College Basketball

  • Women’s & Men’s College World Series, Little League World Series

  • Formula 1, UFC, The ESPYs and countless sales reels, sizzle videos, and brand campaigns

At the heart of every project was a commitment to authenticity — using music, graphics, and footage to capture the energy and emotion of the moment.
